There are several ways to donate to the Southborough Library. All donations to the library are tax-deductible.

The Friends of the Southborough Library help to fund multiple ongoing projects and services outside the library's municipal budget, including youth programming intiatives and free/reduced passes to local area museums.

Material Donations

"Are you accepting book donations?"

 
The Southborough Library is currently accepting book and/or materials donations. Other materials include old DVDs, Blu Rays, Video Games [all systems], and Audio CDs. 

Donations will be accepted through June 9, 2023.

Donations are limited to 50 books per visit per week OR 3 boxes of books per visit per week.  Please call in advance and speak with Ryan or Kim regarding your donation. 

The library never accepts donations of encyclopedias, dictionaries, or magazines. Material must be in good, readable condition. Material should be free of mildew, mold, and/or water damage. Donated  books/materials are often sold in The Friends of the Southborough Library book sales. All items donated to the library must be physically delivered on-site. 

You can always donate locally to one of our Little Free Library sites at the Southborough Commuter Rail Station, Fayville Park, or the one near the Woodward School playground. There is a map online here: https://littlefreelibrary.org/ourmap/ - just enter the “01772” zip code.

Southborough Library FundThe Southborough Library Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) fund under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts.

Donations to the Southborough Library Fund are used for items often outside the library's municipal budget, including any potential capital improvements. You may donate online to the Southborough Library Fund or via mail with a check to:
