Get a Library Card

Any person who lives, works, attends school or pays property taxes in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is eligible to receive a Southborough Library card free of charge.

Please in bring photo identification and proof of your current residence. A valid driver’s license or non-driver's identification will work as long as it has your current address printed on the front. A photo ID such as a passport or school ID will work in conjunction with a piece of recent, registered mail or other valid proofs of address.

The process of obtaining a new library card takes only a few minutes. New residents with library cards from other municipalities are also welcome. Library cards from the Southborough Library are valid at all consortium libraries in the Central/Western Massachusetts region (C/WMARS).

Your first library card is free. Replacement cards are subject to a fee of $1.00 per card.

It is helpful for our records if each family member possess his or her own library card. Each individual should bring that card when visiting the Library.

We would be happy to provide you with a library card, should you be a card-carrying member of another Massachusetts region:  Minuteman or CLAMS, for example.  Questions?  Just ask us.
